Tots and Toys

Tots and Toys is a toddler group for children aged 0-3 years and their parents and carers.

It’s run by parents from the church for anyone in the neighbourhood and is a great place to meet others with children of a similar age and for children to socialise and play safely.

Join us for a warm welcome, free play, refreshments and singing.

9.45am-10.45 am every Tuesday (during term time)

Suggested donation of £1

Tots & Toys is reopening! We're afraid that things will be a bit different, but you will be met with friendly faces and there will be toys to play with. If you're interested in coming along please read on for more info...

You must pre-book your session.

Because of Covid-19 we're going to have to limit the numbers that can attend each session. So you will need to book in advance to come along. You can book a place by emailing Jo (one of our former helpers), the link is at the end of this information.

Tots & Toys will run on Tuesday mornings, from 9.45am to 10.45am. You will need to have emailed by 8pm on the Friday before.

Booking will not simply be on a first come first served basis. If numbers of people who want to come are more than we can allow at ony one time we will place you on a priority list so that you can come to the following week’s session if you wish. (You will still need to email us to confirm for that week.)

We will let you know by email, by 9pm on the Sunday whether you have a session space or if you have been placed on the priority list. If you no longer want your space please let us know as soon as possible so we can allocate your space to someone else.

On arrival

Please practice good social distancing etiquette whilst queuing to enter the building.

To ensure that you are safely spaced inside the hall we may hold you in the queue outside.

On entry into the church building, all adults will need to wear a face covering (for the whole session) unless exempt.

There will be hand sanitiser available at the entrance so please use that for you and your child.

For the suggested donation of £1 just place your money in a bowl. Unfortunately we are unable to give any change.

Food and Drink

We won't be serving any refreshments but you are welcome to bring a drink and snack for you and your child.

Clean Hands

There is hand sanitiser available at the entrance, and there is some in the the hall so you’re never too far away from somewhere you can sanitise your and your little one’s hands.

There will be a cleaning station available if you wish to wipe down a toy before your child plays with it. The hall, toilets, tables and chairs will be cleaned before and after each session and the toys used will have been in quarantine for at least 72 hours.

Only one family at a time will be able to use the toilets. There will be signs to let you know if the toilet is occupied.

Social Distancing

Government education guidelines now state that children under 5 do not have to socially distance from each other. However they do need to try and distance themselves from adults that are not from their household or bubble. In order to maintain social distancing of 1m+ the hall will be split into play areas, please ensure that there is only one adult in any play area at any one time.

Track and Trace

In order to support the NHS Test and Trace programme, we are taking contact details (name and telephone number) for all visitors, as well as recording times entering and leaving the church building. In line with guidance issued by the Department for Health and Social Care, we will keep your details safely and in compliance with GDPR legislation for 21 days before securely disposing of or deleting them. We will only share your details with NHS Test and Trace, if asked, in the event that it is needed to help stop the spread of coronavirus. We will not use your details for any other purposes or pass them on to anyone else.

Don’t visit with symptoms

Please DO NOT VISIT if you have symptoms of Coronavirus including a high temperature, persistent new cough and/or loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste.

You agree to attend the sessions at your own risk. Even though we are a Covid-19 secure venue, this does not guarantee that we are Covid-19 free.

We are allowed to have song time so may finish with our traditional singing. However, Government guidelines state that only the adult leading the session and the children can join in with the singing. So we ask you to not join in the with the singing.

Phew! If you've read all that and you're ready to come then please email Jo to register your interest.
